GIS Projects

Spatial Analysis of Mobile Network Coverage, Usage and Expansion Opportunities in Nigeria

Tools: ArcGIS Pro, MapInfo, LandScan

Analysed the spatial distribution of mobile network coverage, usage and expansion opportunities across Nigeria using census data (NPC), LandScan, NBS indicators and operator-level network traffic.

Outputs included coverage maps by MNO, traffic usage distribution, customer distribution and new rollout opportunities by state. Hotspot analyses highlighted regions with dense population, high economic activity and recurring network quality issues – helping prioritise investment and optimisation.

Spatial Analytics for Business Location Selection Using Python

Tools: MapInfo, Python, location intelligence APIs

Supported Zain and Bharti Airtel in selecting optimal locations for customer care shops, retail outlets and sales teams across Nigeria.

Combined POI data, shop attributes (age, footfall, ratings, distance, product range) and demographic layers to cluster opportunities. The analysis informed decisions on new shop placement and distribution of sales resources nationwide.

Network-wide Customer Satisfaction Visualisation Using Story Maps

Tools: Story Maps, GIS

Built interactive Story Maps to visualise customer satisfaction scores across regions and states, covering network coverage, quality (voice/data), customer care, product availability, pricing and “network of choice”.

The maps surfaced high-satisfaction regions and underperforming markets, giving executives a spatial view of priorities for investment and service improvement.

Web Mapping of Network Optimisation and New Rollout Potential in Nigeria

Tools: ArcGIS, MapInfo

Mapped network optimisation and new rollout potential across Nigeria by combining performance data with layers of existing and planned base stations (BTS) at LGA, state and regional level.

The work highlighted LGAs and states with strong demand, weak coverage and high enhancement potential, directly informing rollout roadmaps.

Market Research Projects

Customer Satisfaction Survey for Bharti Airtel Nigeria

Tools: Qualtrics, statistical analysis

Designed and ran a nationwide customer satisfaction survey covering product quality, service delivery, support, pricing and loyalty.

The study delivered a headline satisfaction score (8.7/10) and clear guidance on improvement areas including network quality, customer support responsiveness and pricing transparency.

Market Opportunity Analysis for Bharti Airtel Using GIS

Tools: ArcGIS, MapInfo, Google Maps APIs

Identified high-potential locations for new network coverage and product launches by combining population density, income, economic hubs and road networks with Airtel’s internal geodata.

Suitability analysis produced a ranked set of markets where demand, limited competition and strong accessibility intersected – guiding network expansion and go-to-market focus.

Competitive “War Room” for Bharti Airtel Nigeria

Tools: Tableau, custom APIs

Developed a Tableau-based “War Room” dashboard ingesting competitor performance data, customer metrics and location-level signals across MTN, Etisalat and GloMobile.

The system highlighted where each operator was strongest or weakest, helping sales and distribution teams craft region-specific strategies.

Startup Projects – Proptech & Fintech

SlasProp – Integrated Property Listing & Land Registry Platform

Product vision: build Africa’s first integrated property listing and registry platform using blockchain and cloud technology.

SlasProp aims to bring together capabilities similar to Zoopla (consumer-facing listings) and Teranet (land registry services) into a single platform serving individuals, institutions and land bureau offices across Africa, starting from Nigeria.

SlasPay – Cross-Border Payments for Land & Housing

Product vision: build a compliant, blockchain-backed digital payments platform that simplifies cross-border flows to, within and out of Africa.

The focus is on payments tied to real assets – especially land and housing – making it easier for diaspora and institutional capital to fund projects with clear, auditable rails.
